New search function is now live
Helping you find health information you can trust.
The PIF TICK website now includes a new search bar. The search makes it it easier for you to find trusted health creators. You can search by words like “cancer” or “mental health”. The site will then show you all the Trusted Information Creators in that topic.
PIF chair Sue Farrington said: “We need to connect people with trusted health information and support. The new website will help people find information which meets their needs.”
Why it matters
Research by PIF and Ipsos found people are struggling to find trusted health resources:
- 1 in 2 people struggle to find trusted health information.
- 8 in 10 people want information to help them manage their health.
- 1 in 10 adults are affected by misinformation.
PIF worked with NHS England on the upgrade. This included workshops with public and health librarians. The new site includes a search bar and health topic pages.
PIF director Sophie Randall said: “People are at risk from misinformation. The new site makes it easier for everyone to find and signpost trusted resources.”
