Breast Cancer UK, Cancer Services – University College London Hospitals, Prostate Cancer Research, Royal College of Psychiatrists

Four new organisations have gained their PIF TICK in March, 2023.

Breast Cancer UK, Cancer Services – University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Prostate Cancer Research and the Royal College of Psychiatrists are our latest Trusted Information Creators.

Breast Cancer UK focuses on the prevention of breast cancer.

It uses the latest research to provide advice on how to reduce breast cancer risk.

Cancer Services – University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist cancer centre.

It produces a cancer pathway support guide with information and signposting to practical and emotional support.

Prostate Cancer Research provides information on prostate cancer.

Head of patient projects David James said: “A prostate cancer diagnosis can be life changing and bewildering.

“We have heard from patients how difficult it can be to find good quality, trusted information – the nightmare of Dr Google is real.

“That is why we were so eager to seek PIF TICK accreditation to demonstrate to our patient community our commitment to producing information that is reliable and trustworthy.”

The Royal College of Psychiatrists provides readable, user-friendly and evidence-based information on mental health and other topics.

Its information is written by psychiatrists with help from patients and carers.
