The PIF TICK is 5
Quality mark for health information marks its 5th birthday.
The PIF TICK is celebrating its 5th birthday this month. The independent quality mark for health information launched in May 2020. Our goal was to signpost trusted health information for all. Five years on, the scheme has gone from strength-to-strength. Major milestones include:
- More than 150 certified Trusted Information Creators.
- The launch of a public website.
- Publishing the PIF TICK directory.
- Extending the scheme to individuals.
5 years of the PIF TICK
Seven organisations have held the PIF TICK for all 5 years. They are:
- Anthony Nolan
- Breast Cancer Now
- Cancer Research UK
- Macmillan Cancer Support
- Mind
- Multiple System Atrophy Trust
- Royal College of Anaesthetists
Trusted health information
Sophie Randall is director of the Patient Information Forum (PIF). PIF runs the quality mark on a non-profit basis. She said: “The PIF TICK helps everyone find and use trusted health information. Health information in the UK is changing. The PIF TICK will continue to grow and evolve to meet these challenges.”
