Well Pharmacy
A high street pharmacy chain has become the 50th organisation to gain the PIF TICK.
Well Pharmacy is the third largest pharmacy chain in the UK with more than 750 pharmacies.
It gained the PIF TICK for its online health information.
PIF director Sophie Randall said: “Pharmacists have a vital role to play in enabling and promoting self care.
“As the healthcare professionals on the high street, they are the first point of contact for trusted health information and can help ease the burden on GP services.
“We are thrilled Well Pharmacy has gained its PIF TICK.
“Its fantastic online information supports people to take care of their health.”
A trusted community pharmacist
Well Pharmacy is the first retail pharmacy chain to gain the PIF TICK.
To gain its PIF TICK it had to meet several steps including making sure information is evidence based, up-to-date and easy to use and understand.
Head of Digital Fiona Llewellyn said: “We are delighted to be the 50th certified PIF TICK member.
“As a community pharmacist with branches in over 750 locations, we pride ourselves on the trust we have built up with the communities we serve.
“Nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of our customers and patients.
“The PIF TICK is another way for us to demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the highest possible standards in our sector.”
